Mass Firearms NEW 2-hour Revolver Mastery class is part of the MFS Skill Builder series. This downrange live-fire session is dedicated to the unique strengths and challenges of the revolver. Whether you carry a snub-nose for concealment or a full-size wheelgun for defense, this course will give you the practical skills to handle your revolver with confidence and efficiency.

Students of all skill levels are welcome; however, students need to be familiar with the basics of shooting.

Topics Practiced:

  • Revolver-specific grip and stance
  • Speed reloads (speed loader required, contact the office for assistance locating this)
  • Double-action and single-action accuracy
  • Rapid-fire survival skills
  • One-handed shooting

Please bring the following gear to class:

  • Your License to Carry (required)
  • Revolver of your choice
  • Inside or outside the waistband holster (unsafe holster configurations are not allowed…contact the office for details)

Please Note: This is not a learn to shoot class. Attendees must have a proficient understanding of their firearm, including loading, unloading, and firing the firearm safely. Course FAQs

What is your “Certification For Life™” program all about?

Mass State Police training certificates do not have an expiration date.  However, some cities and towns require the certificates to be less than one year old when the student applies for their license.  A few cities and towns will only accept certificates less than six months old.  Further, other towns (thankfully a small number) will make you retake the class every time you renew your license.

All this is why our “Certification for Life™” program is so valuable.  If you take a MFS Mass Basic Firearms Safety Class, and your city or town requires you to retake the class, we will let you take it again for free.    To add even more value to our classes, we also allow you to take a free refresher class every 3 years.   Programs like this are why so many police departments recommend MFS to their local residents.

I have extensive experience with firearms. Do I have to take the MA Basic Safety Course?

Yes…everyone has to take the class. While you may have previous experience with handling firearms the complexity of Mass firearms law necessitates that you take the class.

Should I wear special clothing for my course?

No.  Our indoor facilities are temperature-controlled and comfortable year-round.

I was very encouraged to see several other women in the class. My instructor gave me plenty of time. With his help I can now shoot better than my husband. Thanks MFS.

Everyone I spoke to told me I would never get a license to carry in my town. With the help of MFS I got an unrestricted license in only 3 weeks. Thank you MFS!
